Who is it for?
When you enroll in the Welkomsttaal course, you choose to take 2-hour lessons three times a week. This allows us to teach you frequently and effectively, with a goal of achieving results.
How?
With a small group, you’ll be surrounded by all the beautiful books in the Breda Library. Often, someone brings something delicious they’ve baked themselves. And there’s coffee and tea during the break.
By whom?
Welkomstaal exists thanks to the efforts of over 80 volunteer coaches.
They earn only praise for their work, not money. That’s why Welkomkomstaal can operate very affordably.

Welcome to the Welkomsttaal Foundation!
With us, you’ll learn Dutch in a warm, personal atmosphere, right in the heart of Breda’s beautiful Nieuwe Veste Library. Together with enthusiastic volunteer coaches, you’ll work on your language skills in small groups (2-8 people), whether you’re just starting out or more advanced. Our lessons are fully tailored to your level and background, and thanks to the efforts of over 70 dedicated volunteers, we can offer them at a low price. Besides language skills, we also encourage integration with activities that help you feel at home in Breda. No waiting lists—you can start right away!
